TECHNICAL PRODUCTION THAT BRINGS CREATIVE IDEAS TO LIFE

A strong concept is only the beginning.

Creative events often involve multiple disciplines, complex technical requirements, changing venues, tight schedules and multiple teams working together. Without a clear technical production plan, even the most ambitious ideas can become difficult to deliver.

At Solsien, we combine creative thinking, technical production expertise and practical delivery support to help transform ambitious ideas into successful live experiences.

We work with arts organisations, creative agencies, producers, venues, corporate clients and cultural institutions to develop and deliver distinctive live experiences.. From early-stage ideas for staging and spatial design to immersive audio using d&b Soundscape, technical planning, logistics and on-site delivery, we help transform creative ambition into a coherent, achievable event.

The backdrop depicts a starry night sky and a landscape resembling the moon or Mars with rocks and hills. Stage lighting includes blue and orange spotlights.

FROM CONCEPT TO DELIVERY

Whether you are developing a performance, installation, exhibition, launch or one-off live event, we can support the entire production process.

1. Start a conversation

Schedule an initial meeting to tell us about your project, your objectives, technical requirements and the challenges you are trying to solve.

2. Share your vision

Bring us a detailed brief, an early-stage idea or a creative question. We will listen, ask the right questions and help establish what the project needs.

3. Develop the solution

We create a joined-up creative and technical production approach, covering staging, audio, lighting, systems, staffing, schedules, logistics and delivery requirements.

4. Deliver with confidence

We coordinate the technical and practical elements of the project, supporting your team through planning, installation, rehearsals, live delivery and completion.

A COMPLETE VIEW OF THE PROJECT

The most successful events are not created by treating creativity, technology and logistics as separate concerns.

Our role is to connect them. Through experienced production management, we connect creative ambition with the practical requirements needed to deliver successful live experiences. We consider how an idea will look, sound, move, operate and feel for an audience. At the same time, we address the realities of the venue, budget, programme, access, safety, staffing and schedule.

This integrated approach helps reduce uncertainty, improve communication and protect the creative intention throughout the production process.

    TECHNICAL PRODUCTION & CREATIVE DIRECTION

Technical production and creative design work together to transform ideas into engaging, functional experiences. Creative design shapes the visual concept and overall style, while technical production ensures that every element is delivered accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard.

We provide technical production planning and direction, developing specifications, production schedules, budgets and delivery plans. By coordinating suppliers, technical teams and onsite requirements, we ensure every element works together seamlessly from concept through to completion.

    STAGING CONCEPTS & SPATIAL DESIGN

Staging concepts and spatial design shape how an audience experiences a performance or environment. Through the careful arrangement of scenery, lighting, movement, and visual elements, designers create spaces that support the story, establish mood, and guide attention. Effective spatial design also considers scale, balance, accessibility, and the relationship between performers and the audience.

We develop staging and spatial ideas for performances, installations and live experiences, considering both visual impact and technical practicality.

    IMMERSIVE & SPATIAL ENVIRONMENTS

Immersive and spatial environments combine physical and digital elements to create engaging, interactive experiences. Using technologies such as d&b soundscape, wrap around visuals, atmospheric lighting, and responsive design, these environments allow people to explore and interact with spaces in more meaningful ways. They are increasingly used in entertainment, education, architecture, and training to enhance understanding, creativity, and emotional connection.

We provide or coordinate AV production, including rigging, power distribution, rehearsals, and contingency plans.

    SUPPLIER & CREW MANAGEMENT

Effective supplier and crew management ensures that materials, equipment, and skilled workers are available when needed. It involves clear communication, careful scheduling, performance monitoring, and strong coordination to prevent delays, control costs, and maintain quality and safety throughout the project.

We act as a single point of contact, ensuring supplier and crew coordination, reliability, and accountability.

    VENUE & SITE COORDINATION

Venue and site coordination involves managing all on-site arrangements to ensure an event runs smoothly. This includes confirming the layout, equipment, access, safety requirements, supplier schedules, and communication between the venue team and event staff. Effective coordination helps prevent delays, resolve issues quickly, and create a safe, organised experience for everyone.

We identify and secure appropriate venues, handle permits, and manage venue-specific logistics.

    INSTALLATION, REHEARSALS & SHOW DELIVERY

The installation phase ensures all technical, staging, and design elements are set up safely and correctly. Rehearsals allow the team to refine performances, test equipment, and coordinate cues, while show delivery brings everything together to create a smooth, professional, and engaging experience for the audience.

With experience and contingency planning, we can adapt quickly under pressure and still deliver.
